My rendition of Liolio Birds in Paper Quilling

My latest work in Paper Quilling...........This is my adaptation of a beautiful wallpaper named "Liolio Birds". I painted the background with the theme of sunset instead of sunrise as there was in the wallpaper . I have used two shades of brown in making the tree and floral punches for making flowers. The feathers used for making tails of both the birds are not the painted/colored real ones, but they too are made by fringing the paper.........It took too much time but I was really happy with the result

मैं.....................

बहते पानी की तरह हूँ मैं
कहीं भी टिकती नहीं
रोकने की कोशिश मत करना
तुम रोक नहीं पाओगे .................
अपनी अंजुरी में भर के देख लो
बूँद-बूँद करके छूट जाऊंगी मैं...................
तुम्हें पता भी नहीं चलेगा
तुम्हारी नज़रों से ओझल हो जाऊंगी मैं............

पत्थर भी मिलते हैं मुझेपर वो भी रोक नहीं पाते हैं
या तो खुद ही टूट जाते हैंया फिर उनके बीच रास्ता बना लेती हूँ मैं..................

कभी फूल भी मिला करते हैं मुझे
जो मेरे साथ चलने कि कोशिश करते हैं
पर उनको हौले से किनारे पहुंचाकर
फिर से आगे बढ़ जाती हूँ मैं......................

कभी सुनहरे सूरज की तपिश मिलती है
कभी कंपकंपाती सर्दी का एहसास
कभी तूफानी हवाओं का जोश मिलता है
कभी बारिश की बूंदों का साथ
कुछ समेटते, कुछ बिखराते
कुछ अनचीन्ही यादों में डूबते-उतराते
अंत में समंदर में विलीन हो जाऊंगी मैं
क्योंकि बहते पानी की तरह हूँ मैं.................

This is a Modular Origami Stick-tail Peacock. I made it with the help of a video at YouTube.........

First of all, different colored modules or units are made from equal-sized paper pieces and then joined together by interlocking........No glue is used elsewhere except for eyes.........Module making part is a little boring and time consuming, but interlocking is the best part.........However it took me around 4 hrs to complete interlocking........Don't ask about the time taken to make modules............
